Heads up, folks (so to speak). TV3 has a docco on pot use and teenagers. And it looks rather tabloid. Will report back after I've watched it... icon_rolleyes.gif

it is on at 8.30 tonight TV 3, and from the description it looks like a load of prohibitionist nonsense and it is very unhelpful that it is appearing just before an election. biased bastards.

If it is a total anti slant it will not be because they did not have the facts , it will just be another typical media slam.
But then to date I do not see any cannabis adds on TV only drug company ones.

One day when we can advertise the merits of compeditive herb product , Mines sweeter than yours and the buzz last longer get it at your local MOH approved pharmacy or foodtown sort of thing. Perhaps then the media my take a more honest stance.

Watched The Doco,

It Was Fairly Well Put Together, But

The Main Point Is That Those People With "Psychosis" Are All Pretty Much People Who Would Most Probly Have It Anyways, Even Then The Never Defined This Made Up Condition Or Explained What It really Is.

I Mean There Are Other Factors Besides The Substance, If Not, Everybody Would Have The Problems This Alone Proves It To Be 'Other Factors'

What Fires Me Up Is That "Psychosis" - (or however you spell it)
Is Mearly Experiences In Higher Conciousness, We Need To Educate Weed Smokers About The Spiritual And Ethereal Worlds So They Know What's Happening When They Start Hallucenating And Experencing "Real Reality".

The Doctors And Researches In The Doco Mostly Were Concerend With The Physical Aspects Of LIfe And Are Ignorant Of Anything Else.

The Main Point In The Doco Tho, Was That For Teenagers, Smoking Large Amounts Can Alter Your Brain, This Seemed To Come As A Major Surprise When It's Obvious that Any Activity Alters Your Body And Mind If Repeatedly Practiced, It's Called Meditation Or Karma, If A Kid Was To Get Hooked On I Dunno Gummi Bears Or Some Ridiculous Shit His Body Would Change And So Would His Thinking er Brain.

It's Sad Though Because Anything In Excess Will Change You It's Fuel For the Fire, You Are What You Ingest (Eat) What You Focus On etc..

These Kids (Teenagers) Just Need Something Else In Their Lives to Live For Or Make them Feel Good About themselves, And Education On What's Real, The exsistence Of Mind Body Soul And all States In between.

Moderation, Variation And Education With The Vegetation.

Peace

Yes, other research i have heard about is that it increases the risk of ' Pre-disposed' people. ie people who would have already been at a significamtly higher risk of developing these diseases anyway.

Ok so to set this straight, It's a phycotic drug.. therefore if you are a sitzopheniac.. It might induce the effects a little earlyer Big fucking deal, i mean.. the smoke does harm, get a Vapouriser Problem solved..
Having werid after effects then mary jane isnt for you.. If you really think you are addicted and can't live without and think you are are a sitzopheniac then buddy just wait a day or two... the odd's that you are really sitzopheniac or anything is one in something crazy...

THC as said in the Docomentry messes with the Dopimine Matrix not that silocon (The depression one) So even though if you are Unlucky/luck enough to have programatic depression.. no problems

And i'm sure we are not all as stupid as the brits saying that, when "hanging out" not smoking any dope is just "Not cool".

It's not a war out there.. but it can be..

So basically the doco didn't really tell us anything that we didn't already know, right? So why put something with an anti liberalisation stance on TV right before the election? Coincedence or alterior motive by TV 3 there? So many questions ....

Anyone know what happened to the program on cannabis TV3 commissioned ?

I thought this was it , but this was the English program.

I know that the researchers spoke to a lot of very pro experts as well as medipot users.

PostTV3 Documentaries    Posted: Tue Sep 27, 2005 6:27 pm Reply with quote

I watched both the BBC documentary, and the Inside New Zealand (series of 3) documentaries that were aired on tv3 this past few months. I have to say I enjoyed them. Of course theyre all about how bad it is, sadly that is still how things work.
The BBC doco still ended inconclusive as to whether or not pot was the cause of the psychosis in the case studies provided, just that it was a possible contributing factor. Simply trying to keep the stigma surrounding marijuana and its use. In reality certain people are of a predisposition to a variety of mental illnesses and ANY substance OR event could trigger it. It is unfair to class the common cannibis smoker as a criminal, yet it is done. So those of you who didn't vote, have hopefully booted your own bums already.
But back to the docos I would like to think of them as informative, even if theyre anti-drugs, and omit other facts. I personally look forward to similar programming in the future.

anything can trigger phychosis..but if a kid has taken weed it will instantly be pointed out that he has done marjiuana , not 5 tabs of acid the night before he got put in hospital or whereever , but he didnt marijuana 2 months earlier.

its like if theres been a car crash , if the people have been drinking and smoking they will emphisize that marijuana has been involved and not even mention alcohol , so stupid.
